Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Auction
A good friend of mine, WarriorPriest from the TFW2005 boards, will be hosting an auction to benefit The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). Please check it out and if possible give him a helping hand, this is a worthy cause.
"The CFF is a non profit organization that researches a cure and new meds for CF patients, Helps with medicines for those in need, and well as supports hospitals and families that deal with the disease on a regular basis. They are one of the few charity groups that uses less then 20% of the donations for operating costs. The rest goes to research and aid. What is Cystic Fibrosis??? Glad you asked. It is a genetic disease that causes the body to produce thick sticky mucus throughout the body. This causes the person to be severally prone to lung sickness and have digestive problems. Before the CFF came along the average life span of someone with CF was under 18. That's right it was once known as a child killer. Thanks to the CFF though that average life span has grown to 25 and now recently even 35. Now that may seem like leaps and bounds which it is, but 35 is still young.
